What happens at a session?

Each session lasts about ninety minutes and is led by a trained Kid Kitchen session leader.

  1. Wash and apron up

Hands washed, aprons on, and a quick hello to everyone at the table.

  2. Meet the ingredients

Smell the herbs, guess the veg and learn where our food comes from.

  3. Cook together

Families work side by side with child-safe knives and lots of help.

  4. Sit down and share

We eat what we made, then tidy up as a team.

Good to know

Questions families ask

Does it cost anything?

Sessions are free for families. Places are limited, so please book ahead.

Does a grown-up need to stay?

Yes. Each child cooks alongside a parent or carer, so it's time to spend together.

What about allergies?

Tell us about any allergies or dietary needs when you book and we'll adapt the recipe or let you know in advance.

What should we bring?

Just yourselves. We provide aprons, equipment and all the ingredients. Tie back long hair and wear closed shoes.
